I have been inside ALL week and it is getting to me! The rain was a factor.... THE SNOW is definitely a factor as well as a teething, sick baby.
I am ready for the nice weather to come (and stay) so I can get out, get active and get TANNED! Yay for summer. At least we know that this snow is just a teaser and won't stay for another 5 mths.... boo to that feeling in October :(
While I sit here antsy and ready to jump out of my pants and run down the street in the snow I will make a list of things I am looking forward to this summer...
1. SEEING MY SISTER AND HER TWINS FROM SWITZERLAND!!!!!!!!!
they are coming for 5 weeks and I am SO pumped to meet my nieces and for my sis to meet Hailey.
2. THE SUN
hello... who isn't?
3. SPRAY PARKS
so excited to have a child and a reason to run through the sprinklers (though our Lloyd one is out of commission for another year I think)
4. PICNICS
who doesn't love battling the mosquito's for some sandwiches and fruit salad!
5. A WEEK AT THE CABIN
we are off to Sicamous for a week at the end of July
6. WALKS/BIKERIDES/BBQ'S
7. GROWING A GARDEN
and eating it
8. HAILEY TURNS ONE!
so excited to throw a birthday party in LESS THAN 3 months. hmmmm what theme? maybe polka dots (NO NOT PRINCESSES - gag me) *note - no offense to other parents who have princess parties for their little girls... so cute, but not my thing ;)*
9. SWIMMING LESSONS
because we all know that infants need to learn how to swim ;) Royall it is going to be so awesome!!!!!
10. FAMILY
spending as much time as I can with family. Sorry Ian and Lloyd but I don't plan on being here for too much of the summer.
Okay I know there must be more things but they aren't coming to me now.....
Keep checking the posts because I will be doing a 'day in the life' of Hailey.... just to give you a taste of my crazy girl :)

i know what you mean about the princess parties. I have a feeling that I'll be having one at some point though. (And I bet you will too once Hailey is old enough to voice her opinions about birthday parties!!)
I love indoor weather...
except when im working the the elementry school and all the kids get major cabin fever ><

btw, my blog moved to beingteen.net
No princesses and no pink. Jen you are hilarious but I agree- I totally see myself dressing a little girl in red and giving her sushi or mad scientist parties in the future. If you decide to go with the polka dots there is a tutorial to make a super cute dot cake here: http://inchmark.squarespace.com/inchmark/2009/1/28/making-a-dot-cake.html
and ideas for a polka dot party here:

and Jonas and I are so excited for swim lessons too!
I know what you mean... Jawz and Keira have been driving me nuts because I won't let them outside. Too much of a hassle with snow and rain. But hey, at least it's melted here! WOOHOO! lol. I'm looking forward to warm weather too, that means we get to begin renovations :) and btw, Hailey is such a cutie... also I'm not a fan of Princess parties, lucky for me Jawz loves Cars just as much or more, haha.
