They bloomed
Okay, well 2 have. Not sure if anymore of my sunflowers will emerge since we planted so late in the spring and it has been more wet, than sunny this summer. I am proud of them though... my first sunflowers (like I really had to do anything though ;)
Maybe I will get a couple more (fingers crossed)

Hailey turned ONE!
What an exciting year! Hailey is such a blast.... she is overflowing with personality and I love our time together. It amazes me that so many Mom's are so anxious to 'get back to work'. I think Hailey is enough work for me and I can't imagine giving her to someone for 9 hrs of each day. I have started a day home just so I can stay home with my little girl. She has been having a great time playing with new kids.... so much so that she is refusing to nap while they are here. We are working on it!
I love Hailey to bits and don't want to miss a thing.

The Valley Zoo
This was Hailey's first trip to the zoo! I think she liked it though she mostly just stared at everything without much of a reaction. I supposed a couple ton Elephant is pretty mesmerizing to a little kid whose never seen one before! She survived the merry-go-round but wasn't a huge fan of the up and down horses. Loved the ice cream she got, as well as the magnetic limbed Zebra stuffie we brought home. She was fascinated with the monkey's but couldn't see most of the animals as they are very good at camouflage or were too far away. The petting zoo she also survived but you will notice that I made Grandpa take her in. I was having nothing to do with it. My kids will just have to get used to a Mommy who hates animals!!!!!
Oldefar and Oldemor
Great Grandpa and Great Grandma came to visit from Ontario! This was their first time meeting their only 3 great-grandchildren (all girls). This was their 'dying wish' though I think they still have a few good years left in them ;)
It was a nice visit, especially since we haven't seen them in years. They had a great time with the girls! I thought it quite funny that they took more/longer naps than the babies did. I guess you revert back to old ways.
Here are some pictures!
At Hailey's birthday celebration we had glow bracelets. They didn't fit on grandpas wrists so he put them on his ears. Funny Oldefar!

Sicamous
Hailey's first tube ride... probably would have loved it if she didn't hate her life jacket so much!
In the lake with Auntie Janelle and 'do' (g)
Testing out Daddy's hat in the trailer
Tie Dye party
The Isackson Gang
Hailey getting some love from Daddy and his sisters

Swimming with Grandma
The boys and their girls!
It was a blast! We were lucky enough to have 30+ degrees everyday we were there! We also got to stay out in the Schnell's trailer which made it a lot easier to get Hailey to sleep. Thank you Della and Mike. The lake was fabulous... we floated down the river, swam at the hotel pool where my family was staying, went for walks, rode the boat, went tubing, kayaking, paddle-boating and jumped on the water trampoline. We lived on the lake and loved it!
Rewind
Well I ditched the summer update posts for awhile because I was tired. Here are some more posts of our adventures in 2010!

Hailey's first haircut
I know many of you are thinking... "does that kid even have hair?" Of course! She had 3 inch pieces right at the crown of her head and right at the back. Everywhere else.... not even an inch yet. Well she was starting to look like an old man so it was time to trim those long suckers. Of course I didn't get a before pic. It wasn't too bad dry as it has some curl to it but when it was wet it strangely reminded me of the Smeagol/Gollum transformation from LOTR. (shudders at the thought)
Here are the after pics...(great I know) getting a picture of the back of my daughters head was as difficult as cutting her hair. She just kept turning around to see what I was doing.

No I am not a hair dresser... and no it isn't straight!
I was lucky to catch a few clumps as Ian was casually brushing them aside. Hello... her first hair cut! Anyone knows you have to keep the hair! I still love you sweetie! We scrounged up enough for a keepsake. Currently it is in a ziploc bag. What else did you put your child's hair in? This is kind of unglamorous!
