First look at baby

It never gets old seeing the first ultrasound of a living, wriggling human growing inside you. I love it :)

I was fairly close on my EDD prediction with it being 5 days sooner on January 18, 2015. With the early arrival of both my babies (3 weeks with Quinn) I'm still hoping baby might come in 2014. We just have to wait and see.

Baby was having fun hiding out behind my hip bone but eventually cooperated. It also seemed to enjoy hanging out with both arms behind its head... A position I often find Ian, and both girls sleeping in :) genetics is a fascinating topic!

Grow baby grow! We can't wait to snuggle you :)

Isackson Visit

We had Ian's family come out last week to Lloydminster to visit. Grandma, Papa, Grandma Great and auntie Cora! It was wonderful to see them and we packed our time with lots of fun!

Melted bead fun

Teaching Quinn to ride a bike

Playing at the park

Dance parties with auntie

Making flap jacks with Grandma Great

Colonial days fair watching horses

Petting zoo at fair

Riding rides

And playing games

We had a blast and are now recovering from all the fun :)

Colonial Days Parade

We made our yearly appearance at the Colonial Days parade.  The girls loved it and the weather was perfect. I brought my awesome babysitter with us as I still wasn't feeling great so she could help out the kids while I sat and took it easy.

The candy was a bit stingy this year and was haileys only reason for attendance. She is so focused on getting the goods that it looks like she isn't having fun but I know she did.

Hailey liked the horses and seeing our friend in the marching band. Quinn liked the big trucks but not the noise as both of them covered their ears for much of the parade.

A big thanks to Chelsey for always getting there first and saving the best spots.

Canada Day #2

After our park fun we headed home to have a few friends over in a last min (I'm not feeling too sick) chill gathering.  The Swendsen's and Hunsperger's came to play, eat, visit and hot tub.  We enjoyed the company and food.

The Swendsen's hung out until the fire works and amazing all the kiddos made it to 11pm then Jonah and Quinn fell asleep missing the action.  We couldn't see well from our deck as we hoped but just on the corner from our house was a better view!  We were eaten alive by mosquitos but still had fun.

I'm sure paying today for the late night and active day.  I've felt pretty exhausted and sick all day but it was worth it.  Thanks friends and thank you Canada!  I feel so grateful to have the freedoms we enjoy in this beautiful country we call home :)

Canada Day #1

We had a great Canada Day!  The weather was warm and we only had a brief downpour which we safely hid from under our covered patio.

Ian and I took the girls to Bud Miller park to enjoy the festivities the city had to offer.  They had a ride on  a huge slide, lined up for glitter tatoos, ate free cupcakes, fished for ducks, water gunned golf balls, rode in a horse wagon and played at the park.

Preschool Grad

A few weeks ago Hailey had her preschool graduation.  It was SO important to her.  We all had to be there and it was a sweet, short program.  She is growing up and heading to Kindergarten in the Fall.  This is such an exciting time :)
