I'm never going to get things done in time....

The countdown is nearing it's end.... well 6 weeks away at least!  And I left too many things to do till the end.  I am WAY too tired to accomplish much of anything beyond cleaning the kitchen and cooking meals.  I'm hoping I get some kind of 'second wind' soon so that our baby girl can actually come home to a clean house and prepared nursery.  I feel like I am being SO lazy but I am in zombie mode.

I guess it doesn't help that we had a super busy weekend in Edmonton and that Hailey didn't sleep well there.  It was worth it though to see family, celebrate easter and buy our new van :)

Here is a quick recap of some events that happened this past month:

Ian completed his last SLS exam and is now officially a Saskatchewan Land Surveyor.
We are mostly recovered from 2 colds in a row.
Hailey has 2 eye teeth just about through
Ian turned 31
Had another ultrasound to check on baby, she is doing great!
Hailey started swimming lessons and does really well when she wants to
I sewed a bedding set for Hailey's new room and she moved into her toddler bed
went to Edmonton for Easter with my family
and bought a van!

All in all it has been a busy month and May isn't looking any slower with the first week including our anniversary and Mother's Day, followed by endless dr visits, finishing swimming lessons and maybe even having a baby :)

And a post isn't complete without some recent pictures...

Swimming lessons
Daddy's birthday - hmmmm, I want more cake ;)

Wearing Daddy's shoes
attempt at an Easter egg hunt
Hailey wanted to eat each chocolate as she picked them up... it was painfully slow and we ended up finishing the job for her

So eternally tired....

I want my body back..... oh please..... I don't know if I can make it 7 more weeks.

This little girl seems to be trying to claw her way out of my uterus!  I thought Hailey was an active baby but this one is 10 times crazier.  Of course her favourite time to move around is when I am trying to sleep.  This, accompanied with a sick toddler, husband... and now myself equals very little sleep.  It has caught up to me big time and I am about to crash.  At this point I am very ready to be up with a new baby - feeding, burping and changing... as long as the sleep I do get is comfortable and deep.

I am so grateful for my family and for these precious girls who are now a part of our lives.  The miracle of life is such a gift.  I will always be grateful for it... but I will also always DISLIKE being pregnant!

Baby.... it's okay if you want to come early,

love Mommy

A bed for a Big Girl!

Hailey loves her toddler bed and sleeps so well in it!  I am very excited and also sad that she is past the 'baby' stage.  She is talking in sentences now (though not very clearly) and is such a delight to have in our home.  We love our Hailey Baby and I will miss our time alone together.

Here is the bedding set I made for Hailey's new bed.  I just have to finish her curtains and then add all those fun accents to the room.  There will be a little coat hook, a hanging shelf, a new rug and vinyl to go on the walls.  I am excited to see what I come up with :)
